00:02:40tracktheripperi made an 8bit wav file from CD and it wasnt much difference to 16bit
00:03:59Zagorit's quite different. maybe you weren't using demanding music or listening through quality speakers

00:15:27tracktheripperis ISO something universonal recognised worldwide?
00:16:56 Join k3no__ [0] (trilluser@80.178.44.147.forward.012.net.il)
00:17:01PlughISO is the International Standards Organization
00:17:30Plughbut the great thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from
00:17:32tracktheripperyes but when is something referred to ISO is it something recocgnised worldwide?
00:17:51Plughthey're not a regulatory body
00:18:01tracktheripperoh
00:18:09Plughthey just number the standards documents
00:18:18Bagderiso is just an organization that works on standards
00:18:25Plughyeah
00:18:28Bagderthen other people decide wether to follow them
00:18:37tracktheripperso I was gonna if Zagor was ISO 1234 would the whole wide world think of Zagor when ISO 1234 is mentioned?
00:19:00Plughit doesn't really work that way
00:19:10tracktheripperoh
00:19:11Plughyou'd have to define Zagor in a document
00:19:16tracktheripperlol
00:19:23Plughthen it gets numbered
00:19:47tracktheripperok define zagor as "the man behind rockbox"
00:21:23Plughsomething tells me they wouldn't sign that one off
00:22:14tracktheripperlol
00:22:16Zagortracktheripper: iso is more for stuff like "a character set for western europe". or "standard cable dimensions for washing machines"

21:22:55jorbondi have a nice little problem with my player
21:23:05jorbondi cant see the 2 line display of it
21:23:30jorbondit will show the top and bottom status things like battery and volume
21:23:35jorbondand it will play music
21:24:02jorbondthe only thing i did to maybe break it, is charge it b/c it worked before i plugged it in
21:24:58diddystar5not sure on that one. i couldn't see why charging would do that
21:25:24jorbondthis thing really pisses me off, i paid 200 for it and cant take it back b/c its past the 15 days
21:25:43jorbondand it takes like 5 tries to get it to boot
21:26:01diddystar5really i think you have a warrenty from archos
21:26:06jorbondi hold the on button and it will turn the green light on and the backlight and just stop
21:26:19jorbondwill have to check into that, i was just talking about the store policy
21:26:30jorbondthen i have to hold stop and try again
21:27:03diddystar5i had problems with my first two units so im now on my 3rd one
21:27:41jorbondhmm just plugged the usb cord in and the screen came up, so i rebooted and it works
21:28:00jorbondi love the mp3 player it just has a lot of litte annoying problems
21:28:37diddystar5i have had problems with the display before i got a recorder to get it to work i would turn it on then off then on.... a few times and it would work
21:28:50diddystar5give that a try
21:29:16jorbondits like the bios doesnt catch on bootup
