09:41:03pamauryI have to leave, be back tonight
09:41:10jlbiasiniwhat do you mean?
09:41:15jlbiasininot working
09:41:35jlbiasininew setting is in general setting > system
09:41:37pamaurydoes not compile, lang problem
09:42:04jlbiasiniok there are still some incompatibility
09:42:14jlbiasiniI'll have a look and will see tonight
09:46:47jlbiasinipamaury if you are still there my patch is g#351 not g#515
09:46:49fs-bluebot3Gerrit review #351 at http://gerrit.rockbox.org/r/351 : 3Activate touchpad sensitivity setting on Fuze+ by Jean-Louis Biasini (changes/51/351/3)
09:54:18[Saint]the two are virtually identical.
09:54:50[Saint]but it looks like pamaury adjusted the values for the sensitivity, probably with help from the datasheet.
09:55:02[Saint]I highly doubt they are arbitrary.
09:55:58[Saint]if 515 fails to compile, 315 should also.
09:56:28[Saint]the only difference is placement of a block of defines, and the sensitivity min/max/default values.
10:00
10:03:02jlbiasini[Saint]: it not 315 it is 351
10:03:44jlbiasiniAnd 351 does compile I just recheck. There an automatic merge when you pull it
10:03:51jlbiasinibut it's done cleanly
10:05:01[Saint]I made a typo.
10:05:19copperthat's some quality typo right there
10:05:29[Saint]Additionally, I didn't say it *didn't* compile...just that, if one didn't (according to pamaury), neither should the other.
10:05:35[Saint]They are basically identical.
10:06:19[Saint]copper: Yeah, I know...swapping two digits, I'll never forgive myself.
10:06:38[Saint]In fact, I'm off to flagellate myself for it now.
10:07:06coppercan I watch?
10:08:48jlbiasiniwell I guess I should have explains those values to pamaury. Those are not hardware values

10:55:34pixelmajlbiasini (logs): ACTION_FM_RECORD is most probably only for hwcodec targets. Only on those you are able to record FM from the radio screen. On swcodec you record fm from the recording screen with the source set to radio - so I guess you only need the "start recording" action in the keymap file there
11:00
11:01:08pixelmaand on the topic of languages - as far as I know there is a language update script and in case of being unsure *I* for myself would probably only update english.lang and leave the rest to the translater

12:23:15pixelmanone, you have to enter the recording screen on sw codec targets and I don't think there is a "shortcut"
12:23:58jlbiasiniregarding lang, it took me about 2 hours to find out but I found the regex expression to update all the file in one command that also retrieved the string in every langage where it was already setted, pretty cool. And now I'm a regex exepert :D

18:03:23jlbiasinipamaury do you know why after the touchpad debug screen I always get a data abord?
18:03:48pamauryno, I know it hapen but don't know why
18:04:56jlbiasiniregarding the record keys not firing pixelma explained it so it's actually not a valid keymaps for the fuze+
18:05:08jlbiasiniso I will close this bug
18:05:29jlbiasinifm keymaps will be really cool now

18:39:56madcat1990or have the MBR in the FAT32 partition + Grub, and have the EXT# on another partition? (I'm actually interested in this)
18:40:14Torneer, what?
18:40:18Torneyou can't "put* the MBR
18:40:25Tornethe MBR is sector 0, by definition
18:41:12gevaertsWell
18:41:33fs-bluebotBuild Server message: 3New build round started. Revision 47785ca, 217 builds, 20 clients.
18:41:35gevaertsThere's a patch on gerrit somewhere (or maybe still flyspray) that allows you to use a disk image file over usb
18:41:36Tornethe boot sector of a partition is not the *master* boot record :)
18:41:40gevaertsIt doesn't work well :)
18:43:17Tornemadcat1990: the ipod only cares about the existence/type of the first two partitions
18:43:24Torneyou can put anything you like int he boot code area in the MBR
18:43:31Torneor in teh boot code area of the FAT32 partition
18:43:37Torneor in any third/fourth partition you create
18:43:41Torneso, take your pick.
18:43:47madcat1990I'd say boot code area in the fat32 partition, because that's generally what bioses look for
18:43:55 Quit kevku (Ping timeout: 260 seconds)
18:44:02madcat1990That's actually a cool idea
18:44:15Torneno, bioses do not look in partitions for boot code
18:44:18Tornethey only look in sector 0
18:44:20Tornethe MBR
18:44:22madcat1990Really!?
18:44:24madcat1990hmm
18:44:40madcat1990And should I put something there, the iPod's Firmware will remain unnafected?
18:44:43Tornethe default DOS/Windows bootloader that's usually installed in the MBR looks for the first partition with teh active flag set
18:44:48Torneand then loads the bootsector of that partition
18:44:53Tornebut other bootloaders installed in the MBR may not do that
18:44:59Tornee.g. lilo/grub/etc
18:45:09Torneyeah, the ipod firmware doesn't care about any boot sectors at all
18:45:21Torneit only cares that the firmware partition exists, and that a FAT32 partition exists
18:45:25gevaertsAh, yes. g#67

18:54:11[Saint]that cabbie change is very trivial, but kinda important...or not. apparently no one noticed.
18:54:28[Saint]either that, or no one uses shuffle on a 240x320 target.
18:54:38*gevaerts does :)
18:54:59[Saint]*I* didn't notice the shuffle icon was broken, that's for sure....
18:55:01gevaertsBut then I get confused by those icons anyway
18:55:12[Saint]I feel quite ashamed. I broke this years ago.
18:55:55[Saint]indeed. "wiggly arrow" == shuffle is a weird one.
18:56:27[Saint]If I'm using cabbie, I tend to look at the built-in status bar more.
18:57:38jlbiasinipamaury: what was wrong with myy code?
18:57:42[Saint]As I suspect a lot of others do as well, I also don't spend a lot of time looking at the wps at all. so there's that.
