#rockbox log for 2014-01-22

00:01:16kugelpreglow: no
00:01:46kugelthe trick was to request more chunks before speex overruns
00:02:31kugelit appears to be a property of speex to attempt to play the buffer even if it's obviously incomplete, so more chunks have to be requested before that happens
00:03:38 Part keypin
00:03:46kugelI added 6 lines to request the chunks when the buffer nears it's end, i.e. before decoding the last frame (I calculated the largest possible speex frame for this)
00:04:23kugelsee http://gerrit.rockbox.org/r/#/c/728/1/apps/voice_thread.c
00:05:13preglowa speex frame _always_ consists of 20 ms :>
00:05:24preglowlooks good

01:15:55[Saint]Hi, just ask your question.
01:16:09[Saint](alternatively, read the topic when you come in)
01:16:24Spingebillwhen is the port for fuze+ gonna be declared stable ?
01:16:37[Saint]No one can tell you that.
01:16:44[Saint]Sometime between now and never.
01:18:15Spingebillthanks
01:18:35[Saint]There's absolutely no need to wait until its "stable", though.

10:59:37wodzAny idea why gcc insist on pushing r3 on the stack in function prologue in thumb mode?
11:00
11:05:59wodzOk, figured out. Stack needs to be 8byte alligned so pushing single register is not possible without braking convention. So r3 is used as 'padding' register

17:13:54amayerif something shows up under the code changes on the homepage. does that mean the build is done? or are the code changes put there before the build starts?
17:24:03chrisjj_amayer: AFAICT no. "Code changes" is inaccurate. What it actually lists are source changes. And though the code is supposed to be rebuilt after every source change, it isn't. E.g. currently the Sansa Fuze build on http://build.rockbox.org/ is about a day behind.
17:25:31amayeroh... now I see the hashes listed.
17:26:53amayerthe hashes are in the code changes section and they are also listed on the build page. chrisjj: thanks
17:27:24pixelmakugel_: there is red for monochrome screen targets
17:29:30pixelmachrisjj_: why do you say that the Fuze build is a day behind? It's not for me
17:31:10chrisjj_Because of the date on the build e.g. in rockbox-info.txt. What date do you see?
17:32:40pixelma140122
17:35:17pixelmamaybe the Clips (except the Zip) are a "day behind" but that's just because the build didn't succeed after the last code change and so it has the date of the time it last built correctly (which was yesterday after the second to last check in)
