Date: Sat, 04 Oct 2014 03:46:10 +0000 Salutation: this Rockbox is some pretty awesome software! Hardware: Sansa Clip Zip, AMSv2 variant 1 Software: boot 4.0; 515a3c5-140924, and others Scenario: Start a recording. While this runs, connect a USB cable and connect to a PC. The connection will cause a PANIC message: ---------------- *PANIC* usb_storage_in it_connection( ): OOM pc:30065CA0 sp:3 A: 30063E2C A: 300643E4 A: 3004DA18 bt end ---------------- The file that was being recorded will not exist after the panic (a chkdsk or similar may be able to recover a fragment). Encountering this is likely if you routinely use the recording feature in a busy environment, since when the display is timed out the device appears off (assuming you don't have headphones connected to monitor the recording). If you're not mindful, you may forget about the last recording you'd started, and plug the unit into your PC before properly ending the recording (I lost an important lecture this way, doh!). Perhaps a routine needs to be added which checks for an active recording and ends it before initializing the USB link, or perhaps brings up the display and leaves the link down for that connection, similar to the way USB behaves when you've entered [System->Debug (Keep Out)->Battery] before connecting (i.e. the link with the PC stays off, but the unit goes about charging). ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe: http://cool.haxx.se/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/rockbox FAQ: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/GeneralFAQ Etiquette: http://www.rockbox.org/mail/etiquette.html
