Ok, I never tested serial.c/.h but I activated it without
trying this software again for people who has a remote. But
if you are in trouble, just deactivate it that way :

setup.h: line 207 - replace :
 HI(INTCIPRE) = 0x7000; /* SCI1:0, ADC:0, REF:0 */
with :
 HI(INTCIPRE) = 0x0000; /* SCI1:0, ADC:0, REF:0 */

and DIGROM should work now !
