Summary: increase gain for recording with arjb

Initial Comment:
In the recording interface, why not increase the gain
options of the recorder with a longer gain scale who
use all the hardware possibility and presets like :
- non amplified mic (maximizing the gain)
- LP rec (max gain too but perhaps with other
internal different settings)
- HiFi rec (just what it's requiered for better sound)
- Amplified mic
- Internal Mic
- Digital In

Highly needed improvements indeed.

The support for plugging in external stereo microphones without having to have an external amplifier would be very
nice. The built in mic in the recorder is so easily disturbed from the hard drive motor so the external mic is
needed. I would love to be able to use my recorder as a 'dictaphone', with archos firmware that is not possible.
