I love hearing about Rockbox's updates, and the questions going, and I
sometimes submit to them also, but I must get 30 emails a day from rockbox,
and they clogs my mailbox up and make it hard for me to filter through mail.
I was wondering if, rather than have a seperate mailing-list, Have one
daily mail with all of the Rockbox mail in it. That way it only takes one
slot in my mailbox, and I don't have to go clicking around to read a post
and its replys in order.
I've seen this done with mailing lists before, and am just wondering if
someone who knows more about it than me can take some initiative to fix
that up. Just a suggestion.

Hello!
first of all there should be an extra new-version-announcements-only
mailing
list.
The link in the subscribe confirmation e-mail "Welcome to rockbox" message
is
not correct:
http://bjorn.haxx.se/jukebox/mail.cgi
You should add the e-mail address where i can send messages to the mailing
list intow the subscribe confirmation (i cant find it).
Directory listing should be disabled of (or completely disable it):
http://bjorn.haxx.se/rockbox/mail/archive/
You can make a special SSI Directory and protect it with the following
..htaccess file (if your server support this):
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule (.*) / [R]
All requests with a browser will be redirected to the main page (so noone
can
view your ssi files from the web).
Also see:
http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_rewrite.html
I hope this help you! :)
Rockbox is a great project!
Stefan
