Summary: batteries are not charged

Initial Comment:
While Rockbox 1.1 is running with the power cord
inserted, for some reason the batteries are still not
charged. I have to shut down Rockbox to get it charged!

We are doing research on this. The batttery charging is software
controlled, and we want to be sure that we don´t damage any batteries.
