Summary: distortion in loud parts of a track

Initial Comment:
 I digitized most of my CD's and for about 10 % of my
CD's the loud sections cause a clear "clipping"
distortion.
I have noticed this on both the release versions as well
as on the recent dayly cvs builds

The distortion problems on Player/Studio models is hopefully fixed
in CVS and will be in the daily build 20020729. Please test and
report!
