Hello,

I read the documentation to the M41ST84W, which (I think) is the RTC in
the recorder model. This model HAS an alarm function. But as the doc
says, the _IRQ/FT/OUT will go low on RTC alarm. This pin is not wired to
anything that could turn on the archos (see the rec_main.pdf that can be
found on the rockbox site). So a wakeup function (power on) by an alarm
time seems not possible to me.

But we could implement a record or playback auto-off by simply read the
actual time from the rtc.
