Date: Tue, 20 Aug 2002 06:32:23 -0400 (EDT) I offer this only so you dont think you are being ignored :) The CC its looking for is an environment variable so that it knows where to find gcc. As to where/how to set this within Cygwin.. I can't offer any more insite. Sorry... adi On Tue, 20 Aug 2002 jeansebastien.tauth_at_mpsa.com wrote: I'm trying to compile my own .mod as I told you yesterday. It's a real mess to do it for the #1 time. I installed the latest binutils, gdb and gcc correctly (i guess : I had no error !). I also installed cygwin (I'm running W'2000), but when I try to builf binutils I got this message : Administrator_at_B466845 ~/build/binutils $ ../../binutils-2.11.2/configure --target=sh-elf --prefix=/home/Administrator/sh1 Configuring for a i686-pc-cygwin host. Created "Makefile" in /home/Administrator/build/binutils using "mh-frag" cc: not found *** The command 'cc -o conftest -g conftest.c' failed. *** You must set the environment variable CC to a working compiler. I'm sorry if it is a beginner question, but that's what I am ;-) Thx ===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+===+=== Robert E.
