Looks good, I was trying to figure an elegant way of
getting the compiled-in font initialized before the disk
system was up.

Also, the font_init(1) could come before status_init(),
since the status_init call does some font calcs that
will always be redone if the status is displayed and a
font is loaded with font_init(1).
