I presume this is to restrict to allowing only a single compiled-in
font, and allow easy Makefile specification of
the compiled-in font without changing other code?

Also, firmware/Makefile can be further cleaned up:
SYSTEM_FONT et all can be removed, this refers
to the LOADABLE_FONTS stuff which has been obsoleted.
