Forcing people to use the /.rockbox dir means we shrink the storage requirement to 10 bytes per file. > Because if yes, I imagined another system, instead of allowing user to put > zillions of .eq, .wps, .fnt in /.rockbox, Why zillions? Just keep the ones you want to use as default. Beats having them spread out on the whole disk IMHO. > This way, if one want to keep user selection persistent, it is not needed to > store ie: "/.rockbox/cool.eq" for eq setting but rather "1" because it is > the second entry (starting from 0 :) in /.rockbox/eq.ini Why do you want boot-settings to be spread out over the disk? I don't get it. We will support dynamic settings later (i.e. wps-per-dir, font-per-dir etc), but I can't fathom why it's painful keeping boot settings in one place. -- BjörnReceived on 2002-09-26 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
