I think one thing we really need is to interupt the mp3 music stream and
inject our own sounds, this could be useful for feedback on remote control
use, and for reading out track titles...

does neone have a good reference material on the structure of MP3 files (ie,
how blocks are laid out etc)? i assume we could only inject at a block
boundary?
