I have the same observation on my JB.
After the first Disk Poweroff, i have no disk access. But the red led is
shining,

Recorder 20 (JBR20101)
debug->View HW info:
   ROM: 1.28
   Mask 0x0302
   USB: Positive
   ATA: 0x200
   PR: positive
   Freq: 11.0592Mhz
Disk: Original ( Vendor: HITACHI_ Model: DK23DA-20 (Msg from Linux Log))
