Date: Wed, 4 Dec 2002 15:20:33 -0600 Good job Chris! I must have read that article a week or two ago and it was updated two days ago. I have been negotiating a deal with a guy on Ebay for 12 of the PowerEx batteries. We haven't reached any kind of deal as of today. He normally lists auctions with 8 batteries and the MaHa charger as one auction. I was trying to get him to sell me 12 and the charger or create an auction so that I could do a "Buy it Now." But now, I think I'll price the Sanyo batteries. thanks -----Original Message----- From: Chris Holt [mailto:amiga2k_at_cox.net] Sent: Wednesday, December 04, 2002 2:00 PM To: rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se Subject: Re: Eveready 1850 NiMh I saw that article too. I noticed that the Eveready 1800Mah cells came in around third place, and they have the added advantage of being readily available in department stores and such. That is why I pointed them out. Just found the page. Seems he has been doing some more testing and the Sanyo and Energizer 1850s came out on top. Of course the testing is ongoing so this may change. Here's the link: http://www.imaging-resource.com/ACCS/BATTS/BATTS.HTM I like this in particular because this guy developed his own test setup and does not rely on Manuf. hype at all. Like you, I was pretty satisfied with the runtime of the included batteries, but I wanted to see how these "off the shelf" models worked out. I'm using the green ones in my little NomadIIc player, so there is no loss there. :) Chris ----- Original Message ----- From: "Simon, Wesley" <wsimon_at_lsil.com> To: <rockbox_at_cool.haxx.se> Sent: Wednesday, December 04, 2002 11:54 AM Subject: RE: Eveready 1850 NiMh > > Just a note here on batteries.
