i dont own one personally, but i worked with the di-port several times in
combination with a dat recorder. it works pretty good.

the di-port costs in germany about 250 euro.

i did recordings with the archos, using the analog or the digital input.
both times it was connected to the 2track-output of a stage mixer, wich
provides a second master signal outlet without PA-eq and -dynamicpocessing.
the recording with my dat-recorder acting as a-d was noticable better. ( i
recorded in 48khz, with the highest mp3 quality).
