Subject: Re: PIC12C508A-based remote
From: sophana (sophana_at_free.fr)
Date: 2002-12-19

sorry I found the spec on the rockbox website.

However I have one silly question: It appears that the remote control sends
a ttl level rs232 like 9600bps commands. But how is the archos remote
powered? battery?

I think I would be easy to make a PIC program to decode IR pulses and send
commands to the archos.

May be I'll look into it sometimes when I will have time

The sony design already exists on the web site. It requires a pic which has
ADC.
