You can't poke until you know what the end result should be.

So the first thing to do is research the Ondio, not the Rockbox code. Open it up, phograph/scan it and make lists of chips etc. Then post it here (i'll be happy to host any images) and we'll see what can be done.

Also, how does the Ondio handle firmware upgrades?
