Hey,

It depends on what you mean by "hotplug".

If you unmount the jukebox, it will then be safe to unplug the usb.
plug -> mount -> [do whatever] -> unmount -> unplug -> {return to step one if desired}

BTW; the AJB[R] works well with Knoppix <http://knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html>
