Subject: Re: next HW-mod: CF adapter for AJB
From: roland (for_spam_at_gmx.de)
Date: 2003-01-24

Hi !
if this really works, IMHO it is easier to "replicate" this mod.
THe 8MBRAM-MOD is very hard to replicate - It has become a lot
easier since there is good docs for it now (thanks !) - but it needs some
experience to do that.

Furthermore - CF is VERY cheap (~50$/128MB) nowadays and you can buy it
everywhere.
Put a 256MB CF into your Archos - buffer your favourite mp3`s on that and
never
get a hdd-noise for the next hours :D
I`m excited, how long archos batteries will possibly last then :)
Regards
Roland
