Subject: We've got our answer ...

We've got our answer ...

I've done some testing, to see how the I/O ports were handling as you wanted
us to do, and I think the solution has been found ... let me explain ;)

The AN6 is about 204 when the device has been full charged, but is viewable
only when the backlight and/or the HDD are running. When this is not the
case, the AN6 register goes down to 0 and ... the AN0 register seems to be
showing the right voltage, as it comes from zero to 3FF when the AN6
register is coming down to zero. I think you should use AN6 when it's >0 and
if not, check the AN0 register.

Another thing : even when it's been fully charged, the battery is charged at
40% when I start the Rockbox rom : this needs to be fixed too.

So you've got infos, and I hope I will be able to test a new rom in the next
few days to know if this solution is the best one. What I really hope is
that the device will be able to boot standalone ... now, even if I unplug
the cable after having it plugged for a while, it's shutting down.

Full charged values (while charging) :
AN6 : 1E4 ~ 207
AN7 : 4A ~ 055 (High value at first time, then goes down)
AN5 seems flashy too : alternatively from 0 to 270
AN3 & AN1 : stable, 3FF
AN0 : 5 ~ 7
AN4 : 8 ~ A
AN2 : 0 ~ 7

Fully charged values (not plugged) :
AN6 & AN7 : about 0
AN0 : 3FF (This value is a quick-seen one, as the device shuts down just
after I unplug the cable, but I've seen it ;) ...)
