Sounds to me like your LCD is not working, but it could be a number of other
things too. You could probably test this by placing an MP3 named
"aaaaa.MP3" or someother name that will ensure it's the first file listed.
Then just boot up your Archos as press play. If you hear an MP3, its just
the LCD that's stuffed - probably the zebra strip (you could try giving it a
hard squeeze and see if any text comes up then ..... just done squeeze too
hard).

I'm afraid your probably gunna have to send it back.
