Hi, I want to say I'm making humble suggestions and not contributing
with any code because I'm very busy at the moment. I bought the Recorder
because of Rockbox and I want to contribute, I just don't have the time
yet. Having said this I'll get to the point:

I've been thinking about jukebox user interface for some time, here are
my thoughts:

I think the current Rockbox interface can be improved:

- Experienced users shouldn't be forced to look at the LCD
  After pressing an F key the Archos should be in a well defined
  mode everywhere, everytime and any number of times:
  
     [F1] Sound Setup (start in slider 1)
     [F2] for the Menu (start in line 1)
     [F3] for the WPS
     [On] for browsing the disk (root directory?)

- The Play key should not enter the menus as this can't be kept
  consistently, [Play/Pause] key should do Play/Pause anywhere
  and anytime

- A vertical mode sound setup screen (not a menu) like in Fig. 1 below
  would be easier to use and:
  - VolUp/VolDown would be kept consistently on keys [Up] [Down]
  - Previous/Next would be kept consistently on keys [Left] [Right]

- No screen/menu should auto-exit
