Subject: Re: Archos Recorder Suggestions
From: Jean Boullier (jean.boullier_at_wanadoo.fr)
Date: 2003-05-07

The button locking already exists in the Archos firmware but I do not
remember where you could have found the info : I think you have to press
the ON button more than 3 or 5 seconds, and same for unlocking. Note
that in any case the OFF will still be active, it is a hardware
constraint according to earlier discussion in this mail list.

Regarding the USB the Jukebox is draining so much power in this mode
that not only you need to have it plugged on its charger, but if you
plan a very large loading session you better start with fully charged
batteries : the charger does not provide enough for feeding the USB,
spinning the disk and charging batteries altogether...

Cheers. Jean.
