No, they could do it as well. However, I currently call the ID code only for
the ones with graphical display. The ones with text display have a rather
limited HW Info screen. I didn't dare to kick one of the existing options out,
plus I coudn't test it (that screen doesn't exist in the UI simulator). Are
you able to compile Rockbox? Then you could do the code for the older players.
Please have a look, it's just a small piece of code within "debug_menu.c".
