Personally, I would get the Fujitsu and enjoy the quiet. I have faith
that the portable drives will meet your expectations in that timeframe.

With 5 GB CF drives a reality at just over $200, I have to believe that
2.5in drives are going to go up in size beyond 80GB soon.
