Subject: rockbox "promotion"
From: for_spam_at_gmx.de
Date: 2003-05-27

Hi rockboxers,

i read this (see below) on the archosjukebox yahoo groups and i find this
guy is just right.
It is a FACT, that many people generally fear doing "damage" to a device if
they replace
the original firmware with something "new" or "hackerish". many of us are
somewhat
geeks, nerds, people who would possibly immolate their juke just for the
"rockbox-thing" -
and we like doing exciting things with technical devices - but..... others
don`t have any
"experimenter spirit" in them :)

I think the rockbox user community could possibly grow significantly, if
there would be better
"promotion" on the rockbox website, i.e. it should be mentioned explicitly
and in a better way,
that rockbox is so easy to install, easy to remove and completly "safe" (ok,
nearly).
at least, some additional words about the fact that rockbox is just
"harmless" and usually nothing
goes wrong running it could be useful .....

just my 0.02 €urodollars.
regards
roland
