I know its possible because that's the setup I have, Laptop with PCMCIA
USB 2 card

Can you see if the PCMCIA card has installed correctly, i.e is the eject
icon in the system tray

Subject: PCMCIA USB 2.0 ARJB6000

Hi All,

This is my first time on the newsgroup, hi everyone ! :)

I have a question;

First some general info:
* Laptop IBM Thinkpad 760XL (Pentium 166, 106MB internal memory)
* ALI PCI to USB 2.0 Cardbus Host Adapter (PCMCIA)
* OS = Windows 98SE
* ARCHOS Jukebox 6000 with Rockbox 2.0 for player
* latest USB driver installed of Archos on the laptop

I'm trying to get the Jukebox connected, the PCMCIA USB controller
itself
is working, but when I connect my Jukebox to it, it won't see it, it
doesn't
come up with the message new hardware found in order to install the
drivers.

I did try it the other way around, by installing the driver first and
then
connect
the Jukebox, but unfortunately no luck.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong ? USB 2.0 does support USB 1.0
and 1.1.

I hope it's possible...

Thanks for your reply in advance ;)

Keep up the good work on the ROCKBOX, IT REALLY RULES !!

Dirk
