Subject: RE: Dynamic playlist saving

RE: Dynamic playlist saving

From: Tim Elliott <telliott_at_sigecom.net>

Given the limited processor in the Archos units, I'm glad we can build
playlists while music is playing, without interrupting the music.

Can we auto-save after stop (off) is pressed? I think it's best to
press off (short press) and let the "idle poweroff" turn off the power
rather than doing a hard off (long press) all the time and risk shutting
the unit off during a disc access.

Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

As you've probably noticed, saving a playlist is a fairly slow and
expensive
operation. Because of this, I don't think having an auto-save option
would
be a great idea. However, if enough people disagree with me, it would
be
easy to implement.
