You've tried holding down the OFF button for a period of time?

If so, quick find someone who has fingernails (don't have to be real
long, might even be you that has them)

Place your thumbnail right at the notch on the battery cover and push
down and out at the same time. The top edge of the battery cover should
pop out from under the bumps on the faceplate, and it should rise up
slightly. Now get your fingernails right at the gap on the side where
the battery cover goes down into the side of the Jukebox and using a
pincer like grasp, pull straight up. The battery cover should come right
out.

I have never used a tool or object of any sort for the couple dozen times
I have removed my battery covers.
