Rockbox mail archiveSubject: Trouble mounting FM RecorderTrouble mounting FM Recorder
From: freelunch _ <freelunch_at_hotmail.com>
Date: Thu, 19 Jun 2003 20:30:02 +0000 Hello, I recently purchased an Archos 20 GB FM Recorder largely because of Rockbox. Unfortunately, I have been unable to mount the device under Linux. It seems that no matter what I do, my mount fails: '/dev/sda1 is not a valid block device' I have tried this on a few of my systems including two that I regularly use to download images via USB from my Canon S100. I have SCSI, USB FS and ISD200 in the kernels. While I realize that this is not a Rockbox problem, I was hoping I might get some help here. I have done a lot of searches on google and on the rockbox site, reviewed docs, etc, and have not been able to find a solution to this problem. I have seen a few other reports of a similar problem but little on resolution. It just seems to work for most people. Thank you for any help! Brian I am running 2.4.18 From my dmesg: hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigned device number 6 usb-storage: act_altsettting is 0 usb-storage: id_index calculated to be: 66 usb-storage: Array length appears to be: 68 usb-storage: USB Mass Storage device detected usb-storage: Endpoints: In: 0xcb368af4 Out: 0xcb368ae0 Int: 0xcb368b08 (Period 32) usb-storage: Found existing GUID 05ab0060fffffffffff7d96a WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured USB Mass Storage device found at 6 usb.c: USB disconnect on device 6 usb-storage: storage_disconnect() called usb-storage: -- releasing main URB usb-storage: -- usb_unlink_urb() returned -19 hub.c: USB new device connect on bus1/1, assigned device number 7 usb-storage: act_altsettting is 0 usb-storage: id_index calculated to be: 66 usb-storage: Array length appears to be: 68 usb-storage: USB Mass Storage device detected usb-storage: Endpoints: In: 0xcb368ef4 Out: 0xcb368ee0 Int: 0xcb368f08 (Period 32) usb-storage: Found existing GUID 05ab0060fffffffffff7d96a WARNING: USB Mass Storage data integrity not assured USB Mass Storage device found at 7 From my /var/log/messages: Jun 19 06:19:17 grep kernel: Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi0, channel 0, id 0, lun 0 Jun 19 06:19:17 grep kernel: usb-uhci.c: interrupt, status 3, frame# 2026 Jun 19 06:19:17 grep kernel: sda : READ CAPACITY failed.
