I would recommend Exact Audio Copy (EAC), but it is a Windows program, and you made a reference to using a friend's computer. Perhaps someone else can recommend a *NIX or MAC solution (I missed anywhere you mention your preferred platform) Should you decide to go the Windows/EAC route, here's a pretty nifty and hopefully non-confusing tutorial. http://www.geocities.com/altbinariessoundsmusicclassical/mp3gaps.html Another windows program that might be of use is CD Copy http://www.cdcopy.sk/ It allows one to rip several tracks into one file. Once you've done this, if you want to separate this big file into several MP3s (that might or might NOT playback seamless depending on your decoder) there is software called Split MP3 http://www24.brinkster.com/tanyk/index.html It respects the fact that MP3 data can overlap between frames (bit reservoir) and "will split the MP3 "perfectly" without loss of any data" Chris Received on 2003-06-21 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
