Not only that, but the spec requires that all low speed cables be 'captive'.
That is to say that a mouse or a keyboard with an 'attached' cable could use
a lesser (unshielded) cable since there's no chance of the cable being used
for a higher speed device, but ALL stand-alone cables are required to meet
full speed spec.
