I do long recordings all the time. 4+ hours off FM to record a talk
show. Haven't done it in a while, but Rockbox was superior to Archos
firmware in this respect (well, pretty much all respects). I just did
an 80 minute lecture recording the other day with the builtin mic, no
problem.
