Subject: High Res Portable Recording from Core-Sound
From: Garrett Derner (garrett_at_derner.com)
Date: 2003-11-22

I just noticed this: http://tinyurl.com/w4tg

"A complete handheld 24/96 recording system for under $1000."

Core-Sound is selling two products which you can use with a PDA or notebook,
to make a high res DAT replacement:

24/96 A-to-D dual mic pre, running on a 9-volt battery

  CF-card S/PDIF interface

With a PDA, you need a dual-slot CF or PC-card expansion pack, so you can
attach a memory card, or hard disk card, or network (or USB host + Archos
should work too).
