Subject: Incorrect battery level indication?
From: Hans Baumeister (hdb_at_hdbconsult.de)
Date: 2003-11-30

Hi,

I've just upgraded my Jukebox Recorder (6GB) with everything... new hard
disk, new batteries (1700 mAh) and new software: Rockbox.

Everything is supie, except for one thing: while the battery voltage is
given as 4.85 V (which would seem to be the maximum you can squeeze out of
four 1.2V NiMHs), the battery "level" is given as 20%, both in the main
screen as well as in the debug mode. I've got the unit on the charger, but
I'm a little afraid I'll overcharge the batteries.

Current version of Rockbox is today's (i.e.: rockbox-recorder-20031127),
ROM version from Archos is 1.18 (non flashable, unfortunately).

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks!

Best regards,
Hans Baumeister
