further to my other comment,

In fact, this could also be used to create custom menu entries as well, so
you could have a menu option 'Load all.m3u, shuffle it, and play it with
bass 0 and treble -1)

All that would take would be another menu like the pluggins, which
enumerates the .cfg files in .rockbox/customMenu and runs them when the menu
option is selected
