IIRC, better leave digital in where it is (on the 3rd ring of the line in
jack, you need a 4 pin plug to use it), and enable the remote pin on the same
pin as for the other models, 3rd ring of the headphone jack. This is
internally prepared, you only have to move a resistor and close a bridge.

BTW, the digital in can be changed to be digital out with similar means.
