I can't speak for an FMR.

For the recorder, the hard drive requires about 1000mA to write, the
power supply supplies 600mA, and the batteries have a capacity of
1500mA. This gives a max of 3.75 hours of sustained copying. At 12Mbps
(USB1 speed) this is in the ultimost optimal situation about 16Gb. In
practice, the througput is significantly less.
