RE: Archos USB A-Male to A-Male against USB Law !!! Fred ruined my day! LOL

Steamship,

Don't feel like a dumbass. The USB device manufacturers intended to confuse
you. Once people were used to USB 1.1 meaning 12mbps max speed and USB 2.0
meaning 480mbps max speed, they changed the nomenclature to "USB 2.0 Full
Speed" and "USB 2.0 High Speed" with "Full Speed" meaning 12mbps rather than
what consumers had been lead to believe about USB 2.0.

I'd be very interested to see if you could measure any difference in speed
or errors when using a high-quality cable vs. a low-quality one. I don't
know if you will and haven't seen any studies, but let me know if you find
something. I think that it would be of interest to lots of users in the
Rockbox forum with the Archos 2.0 USB devices who are transferring both
firmware and music over the link.

Regards,
  Fred Maxwell
