It is persistent:
Write .cfg file with current settings
Set "Upside Down", power off, back on : Stays upside down
Load cfg file : stays upside down...

What I would expect is for loading the .cfg to restore the "Upside Down"
setting.

Should be saved, bug if not.
Is it at least persistent? Does your box come up flipped when powered on
again?
