RE: Remove Today's Build for the FMR

Thanks for your prompt reply. I'm one of the technically ignorant
members of this forum and thought that a defective build like this one
could mess up someone's machine. Therefore my request for removal. I now
understand the procedure thanks to your clear explanation. My apologies
for the inconvenience caused.

Maz

      *>*>||
      *>*>|| Although such daily build removal has been done
      *>*>|| in the past (was e.g. my oops to break it
      *>*>|| recently), I'm against that practice. A daily
      *>*>|| build is a dumb, automated thing, for good
      *>*>|| reason. It's just a snapshot of the development,
      *>*>|| no more, no less. It is not guaranteed to work.
      *>*>|| Don't confuse this with a release. We're
      *>*>|| definitely not doing daily releases. Feedback is
      *>*>|| highly welcome, so we can fix bugs and tomorrows'
      *>*>|| build can be better, if the developers are quick.
      *>*>|| Removing it, or even worse: replacing it is a
      *>*>|| manual interaction which takes some maintanance
      *>*>|| effort. To be avoided. We're probably spoiled by
      *>*>|| the quality of the average daily build, but this
      *>*>|| is not to be taken for granted. If you require
      *>*>|| something stable, use the latest release, which
      *>*>|| is 2.1 in out case.
