Thanks for replying.

Unless I am jusy so overtired lately that I have no clue of what's going on, I thought that with the Archos firmware I didn't have to turn it up very loud (after tweaking the sound settings, etc. to my liking) to get it to pump out some loud tunes. I'm going to keep playing with it and see what happens. Last night I left it playing for a number of hours to completely drain the battery and I'll recharge before flashing again. Maybe it glitched on something. But I'll be sure to let you know how it all works out.
