I have no idea. I don't have the problems myself, so I can't examine it.
All I have is some corrupted files people have sent me, but so far I
have found no clue to the source of the error.

Rockbox manages everything. When Rockbox is running, it has complete
control of the hardware and it uses nothing from the original firmware.

Not even a glitch in the sound output?
