The old 500277 units "Jukebox Recorder Version 1" are far superior in every
way (imho.)

The v1's have digital out, (wired) remote control capable, 4xAA NiMH
batteries, and far far FEWER reported problems (example: using v2 when
battery runs out == dead unit (sometimes)) - they do NOT have a radio; but
given the endless complaints about the radio, I guess that is no great loss.

You can find them on e-bay as people upgrade to video-capable units, and
try searching amazon in a few different countries (I think .de and .co.uk
are out of stock now)

The one and only "regret" (if that's the right word) is that I did not get
a flashable unit - but that is just 'the luck of the draw' ...and I'm
trying to use up all my bad luck before I buy my first lottery ticket ;)
