This is planned and already prepared, you may have seen the talk_file() function. You're welcome to maintain the talkbox patch, please use this function for playback. It's not perfect yet, plays only 64kB, doesn't strip ID headers. There is already a script available which walks the directories and places a .dirname.mp3 clip in each one, using my "speak" TTS command line tool. I've used it on my box, a very cool way to quickly get all directories "voiced". No need for a special orginization.
