The original poster was asking for a recording
solution with a programmable timer so he could record
a live program. If Streambox could do the impossible
and record a live stream at greater speed than real
time, that would be a neat trick. Unfortunately it's
you who doesn't seem to be listening very hard.
Instead of trying to change the problem to match what
Streambox can do as you seem to be doing, I listened
to the original poster and offered a solution far
superior to Streambox.

nothing to address the original poster's stated needs]

No it isn't just a virtual recorder and no it won't
record silence if the stream stops. Why do you pretend
to know what TR's capabilities are? You obviously

If you are happy with crude incomplete unsupported
beta-ware that suits certain limited specific needs of
yours, that's fine. Just don't make wild claims of
superiority that don't apply to what the original
poster was asking for, and don't make wild claims
about the limits of TR when you don't even know what
it's basic capabilities are, and above all stop trying
to modify the original poster's needs to make it seem
like Streambox would be a superior solution.
And by the way, you still havenít answered the
question: Does Streambox have any kind of timer
capability that allows unattended recording? That WAS
the primary need stated by the original poster.
