Thank you everyone. I've run the script and created loads of .dirname.tbx files but nothing happens.
Do I have to run a Talkbox specific version of Rockbox?

 Yes, Brian Wolven has produced a script to generate the .dirname.tbx

files. It's available at

  http://mysite.verizon.net/brian.wolven/Rockbox/Talkbox.zip

 and requires a copy of the lame MP3 encoder, a copy of which is

available at

   http://www.mp3-tech.org/software/encoders/lamewin32.exe
